How can a courtyard be both a public and private space?
Compressed together by the density of Łódź, I explored the courtyard as a liminal space as well as a permanent room of leisure. What piqued my curiosity was the combination of
awkwardly placed objects, prioritising functionality over aesthetic, with entrances that lead deeper towards the city.
