Body Turned Uniform
Ema Dabrilkaitė
How does the body change through the repetitive nature of labour?
Each shift of factory workers is defined by repetitive movements. Since the early days of the textile industry, technology has progressed, leading to increased automation in production lines. Yet humans remain part of thread production at the Ariadna S.A. factory. For over a century, its employees have worked closely alongside machines. Repetitive movements shape the body, sometimes visibly in posture.
