What happens when the human desire to control evolution transforms from observing “natural selection” into actively designing and aestheticising life? Who (or what) becomes the object, and who becomes the author?
I am fascinated with biotechnology and so-called ‘natural selection’. In this body of work, I observed spaces where organisms are recreated in a controlled setting. Through digital manipulation, I invented potential specimens with rare or impossible qualities, visualising transformation and the human desire for innovation and control.
